A Note from Mike Parks
FREEDOM……Well, this past week we have been reminded of the great freedom we share together in this country. We have spent time with family, friends, and neighbors around the table, enjoying fireworks and celebrating all that is good about this wonderful land in which we live. We have paused to remember the men and women of our Armed Forces who serve or have served to preserve a quality of life and freedom unmatched by any other nation. We have worshiped together and recognized the fact that true freedom only comes through Jesus Christ our Lord. We should all walk away from the experiences of this past week with a heart full of gratitude, thankfulness, and a renewed sense of HOPE in our God who offers Freedom to all who will believe.
THANKFULNESS……Words can’t adequately express my gratitude to the hundreds of people who helped make I LOVE AMERICA such an incredible experience. Thank you to all our singers, instrumentalists, technical crews, cast, directors, coordinators, and church staff. Thank you to our safety team, guest services volunteers, set-up & tear-down crews, construction crews, and stage crews. Thank you to our church family and community for enthusiastically supporting and attending the 28th year of this great celebration. I pray that many lives were impacted by the Truth of Jesus.
ANTICIPATION……I want to take this opportunity to invite you to our next Choir & Orchestra Worship Celebration. It will be an Evening of Praise with Guest Artist, CHARLES BILLINGSLEY. Charles has been with us many times and is a gifted vocalist / worship leader. Place it on your calendar now, and invite your family, friends, and neighbors to attend this great Evening of Praise, as we lift high the Name of JESUS!!!

OPPORTUNITY……Many of you have musical talents but are not using them for the Lord. He gives us abilities so that we can lay them back at His feet, for His honor and glory. We would love to have you as part of this musical family, as we point people to Jesus through worship.
Sunday Morning Choir/Orchestra – Rehearsals resume Wednesday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. Also, if you’d like to participate in the Charles Billingsley Evening of Praise, all you need to do is come on August 3.
Highest Praise – This is our classic choir for Age 50+ – Rehearsals resume Tuesday, August 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the choir room. We already have three local concerts scheduled for the Fall. Check us out, because you will be blessed, and will be a blessing to so many.
PRAYER……Please be in prayer for our Worship Pastor Selection Committee. They are a great group of people who love Jesus and love this church. They have an important task ahead of them, and your prayers would be an encouragement to them. As I said to the choir the last night of I LOVE AMERICA……before the beginning of time God chose me to be the Worship Pastor of this great church these past 31 years, AND He also chose the one who will follow me during this next season. This committee greatly desires to follow God and have His discernment during this process. PLEASE LIFT THEM IN PRAYER EVERY DAY.
