About Mike

Mike Parks is the Associate Pastor for Worship. He holds an A.A. from Northeast Mississippi Junior College, a Bachelor of Music from Memphis State University and an M.M. in Church Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Mike is a veteran staff member, joining the GABC ranks in 1991. He has served at First Baptist Church in Okolona, Mississippi, Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia, Mississippi, Hilldale Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi.

Mike and is wife, Jo, have been married since 1980 and have two children and two grandchildren. Mike enjoys traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
