A Note from Todd Haymans
The weekend is here!
One of my favorite parts of the weekend is worshiping alongside all of you who attend GABC. It is a blessing to see our church respond to the gospel every week! Not only do we see people saved by the gospel, but we see seasoned Christians continuing to respond to the gospel in various ways. In fact, if I were to sum up how we respond, I would use these three words:
Sing. Bring. Pray.
We SING
We give the Lord our worship by singing His praises and His promises. Our God is deserving of all of our worship, whether our life is filled with trials or victories. Singing hymns and other worship songs not only blesses the Lord but reminds us of our belonging in Christ and lifts our spirit, giving us healthy perspective on our calling to love God and love people.
We BRING
God the Father gave his first and best, his son, Jesus. Worship through generosity happens when we give our first and best offering to God’s Church! When God calls us to respond, whether it’s by serving others, sharing the gospel, or by tithing, we should do so with gratitude and confidence. When we bring our first and best with a cheerful heart, it is a form of true worship!
We PRAY
God loves you and desires a relationship with you. A part of that relationship is the gift of prayer. Sometimes our prayers are filled with gratitude, praise, and adoration. Sometimes we pray for healing, hope, and encouragement. One thing I love about our church is that we are a praying people. Let’s pray corporately this Sunday…for each other, for the lost, for peace around the world, and for God’s glory.
I look forward to being with you this Sunday and responding to the gospel by singing, bringing, and praying!
If you have just recently joined our church or are considering church membership, this class is for you! It is designed to give you a better picture of who we are as a church family. Together, we want you to have a clear understanding of our mission, vision, and values here at Green Acres.
