Desperate Faith Is Enough | Wednesday

There is a kind of faith that looks impressive from the outside but has no real relationship behind it. It knows the right answers, uses the right language, and shows up in the right places. But when a real crisis hits, it has nothing to draw from. Then there is desperate faith. It is not polished. It is not confident in itself. But it is honest, and it is pointed directly at Jesus. The Father in Matthew 17 did not come to Jesus with a perfect prayer or a flawless theology. He came with a broken heart and a simple cry: I believe, help my unbelief. That raw honesty was enough. Jesus did not turn Him away for lacking certainty. He responded to the desperation. This is important because many of us disqualify ourselves from bringing our needs to God. We think our faith is too small, too shaky, or too inconsistent. But the size of your faith is not the issue. What matters is where your faith is directed. A small faith in a big God is infinitely more powerful than a confident faith in your own ability to figure things out. Stop waiting until you feel spiritually ready. Come to Jesus exactly as you are, doubts and all, and let Him meet you there.
