Here's the honest challenge that this parable leaves us with. The shepherd's heart is not just something to admire. It's something we're invited to carry.

Research consistently shows that the longer people are in church, the fewer relationships they tend to have with people who are far from God. It happens gradually, without anyone intending it. But the result is that the very people Jesus came to seek and save become more and more distant from our everyday lives.

Luke 19:10 cuts right to the heart of it: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." - Luke 19:10

That was Jesus' mission. And He invites us into it.

Sharing your faith isn't a program or a church event. It's a natural overflow of a heart that has been found by the Shepherd and hasn't forgotten what that felt like. Think about the people God has placed in your life right now. A coworker, a neighbor, a family member, a friend who's drifting. You don't have to have all the answers. You just have to show up and care.

Who is the one person God is nudging you toward today? Reach out. Encourage them. Share what He's done in your life. You might be exactly the person the Shepherd is sending.

Jesus, give me Your heart for the people around me who are lost or hurting. Show me who You're placing in my path, and give me the courage to go after the one.
