Rise and Go to the Father | Friday

Devotional
Every thread of this story leads to one moment. The son rises and goes home. Not because he has it all together. Not because he has earned his way back. But because he remembers his Father and decides that even a servant's place in that house is better than where He is now.
That decision, that simple turning toward home, is what grace meets.
God does not ask you to arrive cleaned up. He asks you to rise and go. He will handle the rest. He will run to you before you finish your speech. He will cover your shame before anyone else can pile it on. He will not just welcome you back. He will adopt you, keep you, and guarantee you for all eternity.
This is the gospel. Not a self-improvement plan. Not a second chance to do better. It is a Father who loves you so completely that He sent His own Son to make the way home possible. The cost of your sin was enormous, and Christ paid it in full.
You have a prodigal heart. So do I. We are all tempted to wander in one direction or another. But the grace of God is tethering us to Him, and the door is still open.
The only question left is the most important one you will ever answer. Will you rise and go to the Father?
Bible Verse
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
Reflection Question
What is one thing that has been keeping you from fully coming home to the Father, and what would it look like to take one step toward Him today?
Quote
When you come to the Father, he will run to you, he will cover you with his arms, He will welcome you with His embrace as if you belong completely to Him.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the open door and the love that runs toward us. Give us the courage to rise and come home, trusting that Your arms are already open and Your grace is more than enough. Amen.
