Someone Is Watching | Thursday

You may not think of yourself as a role model. But someone in your life is paying attention to how you handle pressure, disappointment, and ordinary Tuesday afternoons. Your kids, your coworkers, your friends, and your church family are all watching, whether you realize it or not.
Paul understood this. His letter to Timothy was not just personal reflection. It was a passing of the baton. He was entrusting what he had learned to someone who would carry it forward. That is what faithful living does. It multiplies.
One practical habit worth considering: keep reminders close of what matters most. A photo of your family. A verse on your mirror. A friend who asks you the hard questions. These small anchors are not trivial. They are the kinds of things that help people stay on course when life gets loud and distracting.
You do not have to be perfect to be a good example. You just have to be honest, consistent, and willing to keep showing up. The people watching you do not need a hero. They need someone who keeps running even when it is hard.

People are watching you. When I got to the hotel last night, every time I travel, it stays in my bag with me. First thing I do is I take it out of my bag and I put it on my lampstand right there by the bed. It's just a travel frame. It's a picture of me and my wife. It's a picture of me and my family. It goes right there by my bedside in my hotel room to remind me of what's most important in life.
Prayer
Lord, make my life a faithful witness to those around me. Help me live with integrity in the small moments, knowing that those moments matter more than I realize. Amen.
