Who Has the Final Word? | Monday

Devotional

It is a simple question, but it cuts deep. Who actually has the final word in your life? Not who you say has it, but who really does when the pressure is on, when the decision is hard, when no one else is watching.

Jesus addressed this head-on in Luke 16. He was speaking to people who looked spiritually put-together on the outside but were quietly running their own show on the inside. Sound familiar? Most of us have been there.

Here is the truth: there are only two kingdoms to live for. The kingdom of self or the kingdom of Christ. One feels like freedom but leads to emptiness. The other requires surrender but leads to life.

God is not asking for perfection. He is asking for honesty. He wants you to stop pretending you have it all under control and start trusting that He does. That is not weakness. That is wisdom.

The encouraging news is that He already knows where you are. He is not surprised by your struggle. He is inviting you, right now, to let Him have the final word. Not just on Sundays, but in your finances, your relationships, your ambitions, and your quiet moments.

Take a breath. You do not have to carry this alone.

Bible Verse

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." - Luke 16:13

Reflection Question

In what area of your life are you still holding the final word instead of surrendering it to God?

Quote

Who has the final word in your life?

Prayer

Lord, I confess that I often live as if I am in charge. Help me to surrender every area of my life to Your authority today. Thank You that Your leadership is good and Your grace is real.
