Your Money Tells the Truth | Tuesday

Devotional
You can say a lot of things about your priorities. But your bank account does not lie.
Jesus used money as a mirror in Luke 16, not to make people feel guilty, but to reveal what is actually going on in the heart. The way we spend, save, and give tells a story about what we truly value. It is one of the most honest reflections of which kingdom we are living for.
This is not about being wealthy or being poor. It is about what has captured your heart. Money itself is not the enemy. But when the love of money quietly takes the wheel, it pulls us away from God and toward a version of life that was never meant to satisfy us.
Here is the good news: awareness is the beginning of change. If you look at your finances and feel a little convicted, that is not condemnation. That is grace. God is showing you something so He can help you realign.
You were not created to serve money. You were created to be free from it. And that freedom starts when you hold it loosely and trust God as your true provider.
Take an honest look this week. Let what you find lead you closer to Him, not further into shame.
Bible Verse
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." - 1 Timothy 6:10
Reflection Question
If someone looked at how you spend your money this past month, what would they conclude about what matters most to you?
Quote
It is not money. It is the love of money. It is what captures your heart.
Prayer
Father, reveal any place where money has taken a grip on my heart that belongs to You. Teach me to hold it loosely and trust You as my provider. Amen.
