At the end of Matthew 14, after Peter sinks and Jesus catches Him, they climb back into the boat together. And the disciples worship. They had seen enough. They knew who He was.

That is the destination Jesus is leading each of us toward. Not just a moment of rescue, but a life of full surrender. A life where we stop clinging to the comfort and convenience of the boat and start walking toward Jesus, no matter what the water looks like.

Full surrender is not a one-time decision. It is a daily choice to keep your eyes on Christ, to trust His character over your circumstances, and to let go of the things you have been holding onto for security.

This is not a call to recklessness. It is a call to faith. Real, costly, eyes-wide-open faith in the One who has already overcome the world. Jesus is not asking you to have courage when the storm is over. He is asking you to have courage because He is Jesus.

You do not need the storm to calm down before you take the next step. You just need to hear His voice and move toward Him.

He is calling you. The question is whether you will go all in.

What is one thing you are still holding onto that is keeping you from fully surrendering to Jesus?

Prayer

Jesus, I want to go all in with You. Give me the courage to let go of what I have been holding onto and to walk toward You with my whole heart. Amen.
