Devotional

Here is where it gets personal. And maybe a little uncomfortable

God has forgiven you of more than you could ever repay. He cancelled your debt completely, drew you  close, and filled you with joy. But forgiveness was never meant to stop with you. It was always meant  to flow through you.

Forgiveness does not mean pretending nothing happened. It does not mean ignoring the pain or  acting like justice doesn't matter. It means releasing your grip on bitterness and personal vengeance,  and trusting God to handle what you cannot.

That is not easy. Honestly, it can feel impossible. But here is the thing: you were not asked to forgive  in your own strength. You were asked to forgive from the overflow of what God has already given you

Think about the person who has hurt you. You did not deserve God's forgiveness either. None of us  did. Yet He gave it freely, fully, and without condition. That same grace is what makes it possible to  extend forgiveness to someone else.

Forgiven people are free people. And free people have something powerful to offer the world around  them. Today, let the forgiveness you have received become the forgiveness you give.

Bible Verse

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on  you." - Psalm 32:8

Reflection Question

Is there someone in your life you have been withholding forgiveness from, and how might holding  onto that bitterness be affecting your own freedom in Christ?

Quote

"Forgiven people are free people, and free people are able to forgive others."

Prayer

Lord, because You have forgiven me so completely, give me the grace to forgive others. Help me  release what I have been holding onto and trust You with the justice I cannot control. Amen.
