He Sees You in the Storm | Wednesday

There is a moment in Mark 6 that is easy to read past. Before Jesus walks on the water, we are told that He saw the disciples straining at the oars. He was on the hillside. They were far out on the water. And He saw them.

That detail is not accidental. It is one of the most comforting truths in all of Scripture. In the middle of your hardest night, when the waves are high and progress feels impossible, Jesus sees you. Not from a distance of indifference, but with the full attention of a Savior who knows exactly what you are carrying.

Fear has a way of lying to us. It tells us that God does not know about our storm, that He has forgotten us, or that He is too busy with bigger problems. But that is not the God of the Bible. That is the whisper of the enemy trying to cloud your vision of Christ.

You are not invisible to Him. Your struggle is not too small or too messy for His attention. He saw the disciples in the dark, and He sees you right now.

Let that truth settle in today. You are known. You are seen. And the One who sees you is already moving toward you.

What fear says in our lives is God doesn't know about the storm. God doesn't know what I am facing. That's what fear does to us. It makes us believe the whispers of the enemy in the midst of crisis.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You that I am never out of Your sight. Where fear has told me I am forgotten, replace that lie with the truth that You see me and You are near. Amen.
