Nothing Stays Hidden Forever | Wednesday

Devotional
Living with secrets is exhausting. The energy required to maintain false appearances, remember which version of ourselves we've presented to different people, and constantly worry about being discovered creates a prison of paranoia. But Jesus offers liberating truth: nothing hidden will remain secret forever. This reality should actually free us, not frighten us. When we accept that God already sees everything and that truth eventually surfaces, we can stop the exhausting work of image management. Instead of living in fear of exposure, we can choose transparency and authenticity. This doesn't mean sharing every detail with everyone, but it means bringing our private reality into alignment with our public persona. When we have nothing to hide before God, we experience the peace that comes from authentic living. The goal isn't perfection—it's honesty about our struggles, failures, and need for grace.
Bible Verse
'And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.' - Matthew 14
Reflection Question
What would change in your life if you truly believed that God sees everything and still loves you completely?
Quote
Nothing will ever be hidden. You might be able to get away with it for a while. You might be able to hide it. You might be able to play your cards right. You might be able to play cool for a little bit. It will come out.
Prayer
God, help me live with transparency before You and others. Free me from the exhaustion of maintaining false appearances.
