Your Father's Care | Wednesday

A graphic for a sermon series on the Gospel of Luke. It features the title 'The Kingdom' with a crown icon and the scripture reference Luke 12:22-34.

Devotional

Look outside your window today. Do you see any birds? Jesus points to ravens - birds that don't plant crops, tend gardens, or store food in barns. Yet they're fed every day. Notice the flowers blooming without human effort, clothed more beautifully than the richest king who ever lived. If God cares this much for temporary creation that will eventually fade away, how much more does He care for you -
His beloved child? The God who didn't spare His own Son to make you part of His family will certainly provide for your daily needs. Every circumstance you face, God already knows about. Every need you have, He's already considered. Your worry suggests that God either doesn't see you, doesn't care, lacks power to help, or is too busy. But the cross proves otherwise. The same love that sent Jesus to
die for you is the love that notices when you need groceries, when your car breaks down, when your job feels uncertain.

Bible Verse

'Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!' - Luke 12:24

Reflection Question

How does remembering God's sacrifice of His Son change your perspective on whether He'll provide for your smaller daily needs?

Quote

If God so carefully clothes plants, animals, the depths of the ocean that will never even be seen... How much more is he going to care for you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, when I look at how You care for all creation, help me trust that You care infinitely more for me. Thank You for the cross that proves Your love.
